Pound Pals Helps Both Animals and Humans
Spay/neuter reduces the number of unwanted animals needing food and care and improves the health of the cats and dogs. This eases the anxiety and financial burden of their human caretakers.
With no paid staff and no office space, Pound Pals has very low overhead. We directly pay veterinarians in the St. Louis metro area and parts of rural Missouri for spay and neuter surgeries. Our veterinary partners in the St. Louis area make this affordable, but rural surgeries can cost much more. Because of this, the need is enormous. With resources often scarce in rural Missouri, we can’t turn our backs on the pleas for help. We help in rural communities as our finances allow, and would like to help many more.
Our mission statement: Pound Pals seeks to reduce the number of unwanted cats and dogs and allow for healthier, happier animal lives by funding spay and neuter assistance for homeless cats and for owned cats and dogs.
